Chaque année, de grandes baleines à bosse viennent nager près de Madagascar, au large de l’île Sainte-Marie. Ces baleines (aussi appelée Mégaptère) viennent de très loin, parfois depuis le froid de l’Antarctique. Elles voyagent pour trouver de l’eau chaude, et c’est ici qu’elles chantent, dansent et font des sauts incroyables. C’est aussi à Sainte-Marie que les mamans baleines mettent au monde leurs bébés.
Les baleines à bosse sont très grandes, mais gentilles. Elles aiment nager doucement, taper l’eau avec leurs nageoires et même faire des pirouettes dans l’air.
