Le Hibou malgache est le seul grand hibou qui vit uniquement à Madagascar. On l’appelle aussi « hibou à longues oreilles » car ses petites touffes de plumes sur la tête ressemblent à des oreilles pointues.

Son masque noir autour des yeux le fait ressembler à un petit bandit. Nocturne, il régule les souris.
