C’est un petit rapace qu\u2019on ne trouve qu\u2019\u00e0 Madagascar. Il s’appelle la cr\u00e9cerelle malgache, ou Falconi newtoni. En malgache, on l\u2019appelle souvent Hitsikitsika.
Les enfants malgaches la connaissent bien et chantent parfois des chansons \u00e0 son sujet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

C\u2019est un petit oiseau de proie, cela veut dire qu\u2019il chasse pour se nourrir. Il n\u2019est pas tr\u00e8s grand, \u00e0 peu pr\u00e8s de la taille d\u2019un pigeon, mais il est tr\u00e8s agile. Il a de magnifiques plumes : son dos est brun-roux avec des petites taches noires, son ventre est plus clair, presque beige, et ses ailes sont grises avec des rayures fonc\u00e9es. Quand il vole, il semble flotter dans les airs, c\u2019est tr\u00e8s beau \u00e0 regarder !<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La cr\u00e9cerelle aime voler au-dessus des champs ou des for\u00eats pour chercher de petits insectes, des l\u00e9zards, ou m\u00eame des souris. Avec ses yeux per\u00e7ants, elle peut voir tr\u00e8s loin, m\u00eame les petits mouvements dans l\u2019herbe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Elle est aussi tr\u00e8s importante pour la nature : elle aide \u00e0 garder l\u2019\u00e9quilibre entre les insectes et les petits animaux, pour que tout le monde ait sa place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
